Ms. Lou

Louise Bennett-Coverly or otherwise known as Ms. Lou is a Jamaican cultural activist, writer, folklorist and educator. She helped to carve out space for our ancestral traditions and languages by presenting poetry and story-telling. We honor this matriarch for helping us to remember our roots and giving them validity.
